Folk/Americana with powerhouse vocals and vivid storytelling

Lee Hewitt is a Greenville, South Carolina-based singer-songwriter known for his distinctive Folk/Americana music, blending a lyrical focus on vivid storytelling with powerhouse vocals and acoustic guitar.

Hewitt's shows feature an eclectic mix of originals, covers of other Americana artists (think Jason Isbell, Tyler Childers, etc.), and folksy, stripped-down versions of well known songs from artists like Taylor Swift and Fleetwood Mac. In recent years he's brought his songs to the main stage at Greenville's Artisphere festival, the popular concert series Sofar Sounds, and local haunts like Fireforge Crafted Beer & Smileys on the Roxx.

His most recent single, El Capitan, is a stunning tribute to his wife that speaks to a quietly passionate love that's "weathered and worn" but also anchoring and authentic. His debut EP, The River & the Blue Ridge, showcases his powerful, emotive voice; the songwriting features rich imagery and sense of place, drawing inspiration from the Upstate South Carolina area. Hewitt crafts songs that feel both intimate and expansive, capturing the beauty and complexity of everyday life.
